trying not to tap foot impatiently

I'm still waiting for the oncologist to call with my biopsy results! Today is day 5 post-op. (But who's counting . . . ?)

Tonight I learned that I can handle 1/2 a Vicodin at a time. I took half with dinner and feel SO much pain relief, and no nausea! I haven't been sleeping well because of the pain and my wandering mind, so tonight I'm trying "not" to nap before bedtime. Hopefully I'll be able to fall asleep and not wake up until my alarm goes off in the morning.

I realized this afternoon that I'm due for IV meds, and have yet to schedule myself for them. I'll either be in the hospital this weekend or next for an infusion. Oh WAIT, I'll be in Vegas next weekend! I need to call my doctor first thing tomorrow to schedule myself in for this weekend!! I've been dragging my feet because I'm just so tired of handling the scheduling of medical appointments, etc. I would rather someone just hand me an itinerary and I show up. =)

Enough of my babbling. That's all I have for tonight. Once we have some answers from the oncologist I can start tackling the next phase of treatment for my heart.

-chocolate milkshakes
-sister's who text you out of the blue to say they love you
-artsy friends
-my MacBook
-Vicodin (in moderation)
-having a great job in a rough economy
-iTunes playing in the background while I blog
-health insurance
-a overal gain in my "fun" stock portfolio despite the DOW being in the red so much lately
-the skylights over my bed (I love watching planes go by at night, & seeing the sky when I wake)
-love
-friendship
-having patience while we await "the call"

PS - Did I ever mention that have recently commissioned an artist to do an oil painting for me? I'm (patiently) excited! =)
